Randy Cannon is a CPA, CA with over 10 years’ experience working in the accounting profession.  He is a graduate of UPEI and started his career in Charlottetown with ArsenaultBestCameronEllis Chartered Accountants.  In 2010, he traded the cold Canadian winters for the beaches of the Cayman Islands and began working in the offshore financial industry.  First working as an external auditor on hedge funds and later joining the leading governance firm in the industry as International Financial Controller, overseeing the finances of 10 subsidiary companies located across 6 countries.

Randy has since moved back home to PEI and is using all the experience he has gained to transition to the investment/wealth advisory profession.  He has a passion for working with individuals and challenging them to take an honest look if they are on track to reach their financial goals.  He is thrilled to be able to do this as part of the full-service investment firm, BMO Nesbitt Burns.

Randy enjoys travelling and playing sports, in particular, hockey, golf and curling.  He lives in Cornwall with his wife Emily and they are expecting their first child in July 2017.

"The United Way was kind enough to help the Native Council of PEI create my position, there's kind of been a lapse between the younger generation and the elders in the community, so the programming is to enrich everyone's life and to understand their cultural piece and past tradition."

- Christina, Native Council of PEI
